It’s been a privilege to represent Doug and his wife on the sale of their home in Serra Mesa. They’ve been neighbors of mine since I moved to Serra Mesa in 2000. They decided to make a big move to be closer to their grandchildren on the east cost. So we met in January and discussed how to prepare the house to get top dollar in this current San Diego market. I spent more than 5 weeks helping the seller manage multiple vendors who updated the exterior and interior paint and ceilings, re-finished the wood floors, updated the light fixtures and hardware, and put in new landscaping. It was well worth it. We received more than 30 offers in less than two weeks most of them above asking price. Now it’s up to the new owners to take good care of this wonderful home.

I’m very proud to represent the sellers of a beautifully remodeled home in my own neighborhood of Serra Mesa 92123. This home has 4 bedrooms and 2 baths, 1570 square feet of living area plus a family room measuring about 300 square feet. It’s a perfect, single family home in one of San Diego’s most desirable neighborhoods where I happen to live myself.

Each year some Team In Training friends throw a Super Bowl Party fundraiser inside the race track at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. It’s a great SoCal way to watch the Big Game outdoors when most of the rest of the country is way to cold for that.

It was my honor to be the Team In Training coach when Jessica successfully completed the 2010 Los Angeles Marathon. I was so pleased to meet up with her again when she and Phil began searching for a home in early 2012. They decided to make a big change from downtown San Diego condo living to a beautiful home in Carlsbad. They tell me Barkley likes his new home too!

It’s been nearly 25 years since I attending a Texas High School Football game. In my former life as a TV sports anchor/reporter, I covered Permian High School Panthers the year that Buzz Bissinger was there to write his book, “Friday Night Lights.” This past year I attended the Lufkin HS playoff game vs. Plano West HS for a very different reason.

I recently went back to one of my favorite, guilty pleasure spots when I was in college too many years ago. It’s called Health Camp where you can get a burger that may or may not be that healthy for you. If you find yourself in Waco, Texas, sometime, you might want to stop by and experience it for yourself.

When George and his family had outgrown their home in Chula Vista, they and wanted to find a new home with more space. I showed them a beautiful home in Bonita that was being sold as a short sale. There were some nervous moments waiting for the seller’s lenders to agree to the short sale so it was a thrill and an honor to be able to hand over the keys to George and his wonderful family.

We had a blast at the Serra Mesa Community Fair. We loved meeting so many of our neighbors who came by our Christmas themed booth. Several people signed up an won iPod Shuffles.

These are my clients, Kris and Susan, whom I first met as a coach for Team In Training. They are both active in all of the TNT sports. It was my honor to help them find their beautiful, recently remodeled home in the Rancho Penasquitos section of San Diego. They can hear the Mount Carmel High School band practices from their back yard and may become fans of the Sundevil sports teams.

I’m so proud of our Team In Training San Diego runners and walkers who participated in the 2012 Disneyland Half Marathon in Anaheim, California.
